This Advent we will dream alongside prophets and angels, Mary and the Magi. They along with John the Baptist, Elizabeth, Joseph, Simeon, Anna, and the shepherds were all dreamers. They received, discovered, and responded to God’s good news–God’s dreams–for the world. In the midst of COVID-19 cases rising, chaos being sown from the White House, and the approach of colder days and long nights, we are being invited to be Those Who Dream. Join in this Advent season as we seek and sow God’s dreams for our world.
Some instructions for this year’s Advent:
- Each household is encouraged to create their own advent wreath. It can be as simple as 4 candles in an outer circle on a plate with one in the middle for the Christ candle. These will be used each week during worship.
- There is a daily devotional guide that invites us to explore the week’s scriptures as well as our own dreams. Heather will send these out each week electronically. Households can choose to print it out or read from the electronic version.
